Best Burn Practices
Best Burn Practices
Get the most from your candle by following these simple steps.
- Always trim the wick to 1/4" before every single new burn.
During the burning process, carbon builds up on the wicks. This is normal, however if you re-light a wick that has this carbon build up it can cause excess soot and heat.
- Always burn your candle long enough for the melted wax to reach the sides of the vessel, about 2 - 3 hours, before extinguishing it.
Allow your candle to burn long enough to permit the top surface of the wax to melt completely, from the wick all the way to the edge of the candle's container. Not only will this release as much scent as possible but it also will stop tunneling; where the candle only melts down the middle and soon put itself out.
